Lancaster Bee Keepers is friendly and growing group of hobbyist beekeepers who meet regularly throughout the year to share experiences and develop their beekeeping skills.
The Club offers all newcomers a comprehensive development package to ensure that they become competent beekeepers. Throughout the colder months at the beginning and end of each year we hold a diverse range of talks and lectures on a wide range of topics suitable for both novice and experienced beekeepers. This culminates at the end of the season with the annual honey show and annual dinner. During the summer months visits are made to members' apiaries where practical demonstrations are staged and talks given.
The benefits of membership do not end here. Experienced Club members are always available to provide guidance and practical assistance when necessary. Club membership also includes public liability insurance, bee disease insurance, the six times yearly magazine of the British Beekeepers' Association and invitations to the shows and conventions of other beekeeping clubs in the region.
