Lancaster Beekeepers are proud to have developed an apiary at Yealand. This apairy is currently being actively used for the dual purposes of breeding our own strain of bees and training beekeepers at various stages from first joining the club to further specialist courses as members develop their skills.  Here are some of the pictures taken while we constucted the apiary.

 

All this work was carried out in a 3 staged process.

Work is underway to provide solar powered generation capable of powering Lap top/Projector demonstarations.

The Apiary was officially opened on 9th April 2011 by Martin Smith, president of BBKA The construction of the Apiary would not have been possible without the assistance of:
