Lancashire and NWBKA Members First Spring Convention

On Saturday March 1st 2008 9.00am - 5.00pm - Lancaster & NWBKA will hold their first Members Spring Convention.

With 2 excellent speakers, well-know author Celia Davis and Ivor Davis - immediate past President of the BBKA - this is a very well organised and worthwhile convention to attend

Convention Arrangements
The Convention will be held in the Williams’ Hall at Merchant Taylor’s Boys’ School, Crosby, Liverpool
The fee for the Convention will be £8.00 for the full day and £4.00 for half day with juniors, under 18 free. Reserve your place via E-Mail, telephone, or post, and PAY ON THE DAY.

Lunch will be available for £4.00 consisting of a Ploughmnan’s , and home made jam. We will have tea, coffee and home made cakes available morning and afternoon at a small charge.

Market at Lunch

There will a selection of second-hand equipment, books and magazines available to purchase. Please feel free to bring along any spare equipment you would like to sell. In addition, we do hope to have, during the lunch break, stalls in the entrance selling, home-made jams and pickles, hand-made soaps and lotions, and a selection of plants.

CELIA DAVIS
Celia Davis is the author of 2 beekeeping books ‘The Honey bee Inside Out’ & ‘The Honey Bee Around & About’ Celia’s book was declared best beekeeping book published during the last three years. She regularly fills the main lecture theatre at theStoneleigh Spring Convention.

IVOR DAVIS
Ivor Davis is the Immediate Past President of the BBKA and he regularly fills the main lecture hall at the Stoneleigh Spring Convention. He writes regularly in Beecraft Magazine, presently advice for new beekeepers.
